What is a business, really?
At its core, a business is an engine that creates value for a customer, and then captures a fraction of that value back.
The six moving parts
Every business is this engine
Value created
The measurable improvement you create for one specific person: time saved, risk removed, money earned, pain avoided. Everything else in this engine is a slice of this number. You can never charge more than the value you actually create.
Apply itName the one thing that gets better for your person, and put a rough number on it. If you can’t, that’s the real next step, not pricing.
