Testable beliefs

Beliefs you would test

  1. 01Your judgment

Rotating sibling caregivers will keep updating a shared visit log if it takes less than two minutes per handoff.

    Could prove wrong

They will default to the group chat because it is already open on their phone.

    Quick test

Ask three families to log one visit each for a week and count how many updates happen outside the chat.

  2. 02Your judgment

A family will pay $12/month after a free first month once they have lived through one handoff scare (missed med, ER worry, or repeated re-asks).

    Could prove wrong

They will treat the Google Sheet as good enough once the crisis week passes.

    Quick test

Show the timeline to five families who had a scare in the last 90 days; ask if $12/month would have been an obvious yes the week it happened.

  3. 03Your judgment

Push notifications to three or more siblings beat a passive shared sheet for preventing re-asked questions.

    Could prove wrong

Notification fatigue will push everyone back to muting the thread and ignoring the app.

    Quick test

Run a two-week prototype with one family: visit digest only vs visit digest plus same-day change alerts; count re-asked questions in chat.

  4. 04Your judgment

A referral from an Area Agency on Aging support group or care manager gives enough trust for siblings to try the timeline during the scare week.

    Could prove wrong

Families will only trust a tool recommended by another sibling, not an institution.

    Quick test

Ask two AAoA facilitators and one care manager what they would say when recommending a coordination tool; track whether referred families complete three handoffs.

Next step

Economics look workable at $12/month. Before you treat the canvas as done, name who helps you reach families — trusted referrals and care-manager intros on the next slide. SMS delivery is a product you buy, not a partner.

Ask your customers: Who else must be involved for a family to actually receive the visit handoff?

Good answer looks like: Name who helps families discover and trust the product (referral partners). Separately, name what you buy to run it (e.g. SMS API) — vendor, not partner.
